Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Palliative Medicine Physician to join its growing Pain/Palliative Medicine and Rehabilitation Department within the section of Hematology/Oncology.
Banner MD Anderson opened in 2011 and was designed with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center experts. The center has a contemporary, evidence-based design and state-of-the-art technologies in surgery and radiation oncology. The Division of Surgical Oncology currently includes 14 surgeons representing all surgical subspecialties with adjunct professorial appointments at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. We practice in disease site-specific teams that are committed to excellent patient care and growth of the cancer center. We work with highly skilled advanced practice providers who share these commitments. Our multidisciplinary team based approach includes dedicated radiation and medical oncologists, prospective treatment planning conferences, clinical research, and a full spectrum of ancillary and rehabilitative services, including genetic counseling, palliative care, and integrative medicine. Essential Functions and Requirements:
Board Certified/Board Eligible Palliative Medicine physician who is comfortable in providing care for oncology patients, in both IP/OP environments
Background and expertise in internal medicine, neurology or rehab medicine as well as a wide scope of knowledge of opioid and auxiliary/supplemental medications and other treatments is required
Knowledge or background in rehabilitation is a plus
Physiatrists who have completed a Palliative Medicine Fellowship are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with oncology experience
