Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Hematology/Oncology

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock is an organization dedicated to nursing practice and to our patients. As strong advocates for APRN practice, we support and encourage all of our team members to practice to the highest level of their license and we encourage full practice authority.

The APRN is critical to the success of our clinic. The APRN will work independently, in cooperation with the Clinical Director, and will work within established protocols and guidelines, but will have general autonomy of practice.

The APRN primary responsibilities:

  • Coordinate safe and thorough care of patient receiving infusion therapy for cancer and other medical conditions
  • Address infusion reactions
  • Works collaboratively with the Infusion/Oncology RNs

 

In coordination with Attending Oncologists, you may assist with:

  • Palliative care
  • Supportive care
  • Clinical research
  • Possibility of Oncology Call

 

Qualifications:

Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician's Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Hampshire.  Academic preparation at the Master's level.
