Ready to make a difference in the lives of Indiana children and their families?  We are seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to join the only nationally ranked pediatric institution in the state at the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.  Riley at IU Health Palliative Care offers comprehensive pediatric palliative care services for children with a variety of life-limiting or life-threatening medical conditions.  Committed to helping patients live the best quality of life possible, we support families in medical decision-making, goals of care discussions, advance directives, and complicated pain and symptom management.  Our team also oversees end-of-life care for patients in pediatric hospice.  Similarly, we develop end-of-life education for hospices across the state to continually improve the home-based experience for pediatric patients.  Additionally, we work closely with and educate IU Health colleagues to enhance the quality of our care, improve communication and promote effective and timely care delivery.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain all learner objectives
  • Oversee the educational experience within the division
  • Inpatient and outpatient palliative care with oversight in co-managing hospice patients at home

  • Successful candidate will have a positive attitude, empathy, adaptability and be a true team player
  • Completion of pediatric residency and pediatric palliative care fellowship
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Care Medicine
  • New graduates or experienced physicians encouraged to apply
  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
