ChristianaCare, a three hospital, 1,300 bed healthcare system in Delaware, is actively recruiting for the Medical Director Palliative Medicine . This leader will oversee a large, well established clinical team that includes six Physicians, 10 Advanced Practice Clinicians, three RN Navigators, chaplain and chaplain residents and several Medical Assistants and Office Assistants. The program includes a busy inpatient consult service in the Christiana Hospital (906 beds; Newark campus) and Wilmington Hospital (321 beds: Wilmington campus), services at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center (Newark campus) and services in primary care practices, specialty practices and In-Home services.

The position is split 60% clinical and 40% administrative. This leader also serves as the Section Chief Hospice and Palliative Medicine in the Department of Medicine.

Position Qualifications

  • Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • Three years clinical work experience
  • Leadership experience including experience leading teams
  • Knowledge of fellowship and hospital regulatory requirements
