Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation – Stanford University

The PM&R Section in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks a physiatrist with an interest in neurorehabilitation to join the department the Clinician Educator Line (CE). This position is primarily based in the Stanford University Neurosciences Health Center and the Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. Clinical duties include outpatient management of patients with stroke, brain injury and other chronic neuromuscular disorders; and coverage of the PM&R consult service at Stanford University Hospital. Responsibilities also include mentorship and teaching of our PM&R residents, co-workers and ancillary staff.

Academic line/rank will be determined by qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The major criteria for academic appointment of Clinician Educators (CE) is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fill.

The successful applicant must be eligible for a California Medical License and board certified/eligible in PM&R. Candidates with fellowship training in a neurorehabilitation subspecialty, including Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury, are encouraged to apply although fellowship training is not required for this position.
