Description JOB SUMMARY: The Lactation Consultant applies in-depth knowledge of a wide range of maternal and neonatal acute and chronic conditions that may affect breastfeeding. Assesses and manages complex lactation problems and assists the mother in attaining her individual breastfeeding goals. Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team as a consultant, educator, and mentor to nurses, health care professionals and patients.
