Trinity Health West Michigan, a leading integrated regional health system, is seeking a dynamic physician executive to join the organization as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In this key role, the CMO will provide medical leadership for THMG’s large, market-leading multi-specialty medical group, and serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. Trinity Health Medical Group has a total of over 700 employed providers and an annual operating revenue of approximately $270 million.

Through a matrixed leadership structure, the CMO leads and implements the clinical and quality direction of THMG with a consistent focus on mission, provider engagement, provider wellness, patient experience, improved performance, and a safe environment. The CMO also develops collaborative relationships with the senior leadership teams of the Medical Group, Hospitals, Trinity Health Alliance of Michigan (the clinically integrated network), and Michigan Executive Team to contribute to effective leadership decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, confident, and engaging physician leader and will demonstrate strong advocacy for provider-led integrated primary and specialty care. The ideal candidate possesses strong strategic and critical-thinking skills, excellent communication skills, as well as an ability to effectively prioritize and manage resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with Board Certification required
• Currently practicing (or recent practice experience) physician with at least ten (10) years of direct patient care experience, and five  years of applicable leadership experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, or equivalent related experience
• Two (2) years of direct patient care experience within a multi-specialty group
