MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician to join our Internal Medicine Residency Faculty team located in Mason City, Iowa.

The selected candidate will join the Inpatient Teaching Service group of two Faculty physicians in this ACGME-accredited program. Also included in this robust team of Faculty are two Outpatient Teaching Service physicians leading our Continuity Clinic. This is an 18-resident program, hosting 6 residents per year. The expected schedule for this position is 7 days on/7 days off.

This is a hospital employed opportunity and the physician will be teaching in a single hospital. The residency program is based at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a community-based hospital with over 200 acute beds. The hospital serves as a 15-county regional referral teaching center with approximately 30,000 ER visits/year, 11,500 acute inpatient discharges/year, and 11,500 observation and outpatient visits/year.

We benefit from a close working relationship with the MercyOne North Iowa Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships, the MercyOne North Iowa Family Medicine Residency, and a Hospice/Palliative Medicine Fellowship. We also benefit from affiliation with Trinity Health and the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Our residents have close working relationships with our Internal Medicine hospitalists and subspecialty staff, with the ability to perform multiple procedures early in their residency training.
