Northwell Health’s Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine is seeking a Medical Director for Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized division. The ideal candidate should be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Palliative Medicine, or both Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Medicine. Our interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers provide high quality clinical care to older adults and those with serious and advanced illness. This opportunity would offer Academic appointment with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University as we are committed to preparing the next generation of physicians in these subspecialities through accredited fellowship programs and other educational services.

Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County, and the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health, the largest healthcare organization in New York State. As a non-for-profit 200-bed community hospital, we serve as the primary resource for advanced healthcare services for the 250,000+ residents of the Riverhead area, Eastern Central Suffolk County, and Long Island's North Fork. We provide our service area's only Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite, Level III Trauma Center, and NYS-Designated Stroke Center.
