Overview

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our highly collegial and patient-focused Supportive Oncology, Palliative Care/Behavioral Health team.

**SIGN-ON BONUS AND RELOCATION ELIGIBLE FOR NEW HIRES!**

Unit/Position Summary

The Supportive Oncology RN will support 2 Advanced Practice Providers at St Luke's Cancer Institute in Nampa and Fruitland in their day-to-day management of oncology patients with high symptom burden, behavioral health concerns, and/or end of life transitional needs. This RN will be embedded in a team comprised of 1 Primary RN, 1 Oncology Psych NP, and 1 Oncology Palliative & Supportive Care NP who will be primarily responsible for patients seen in our Nampa and Fruitland Cancer Institute Clinics. This team will be part of our larger service line Supportive Oncology, Palliative Care/Behavioral Health Team made up of a total of 1 Psychiatrist, 1 Psych NP, 3 Palliative & Supportive Care APPs, 3 RNs, 1 Psych LPN, and a Practice Program Coordinator.

This is a full-time position, 1.0 FTE. Four x 10-hour day shifts a week (typically 0800-18:00). We look forward to meeting you!

Responsibilities

  • Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments
  • Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework
  • Performs therapeutic nursing interventions
  • Manages care of patients
  • Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
  • Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
  • Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: One (1) + years' RN experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
  • Required: Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card

  • Preferred: Interest or experience in Oncology Palliative Care
