Description

Job Summary:

As the Registered Nurse Float, you will apply the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The Float RN effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team; collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Further your professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

$20,000 SIGN ON BONUS for eligible new hires. Relocation stipend of $15,000 for eligible new hires.

Department Summary:

Float Pool Registered Nurses provide specialty services that include but are not limited to med-surge, step-down, palliative care, oncology, and a variety of other service lines. Supplemental staffing provides a crucial service for our customers, not only to ensure safe quality patient care, but provides support for our unit colleagues as well. You will be offered opportunities to expand your knowledge and maintain an expansive skill set which will enable to you to become a resource to others.

Position Shift:

Full-time Night Shift 7PM - 7AM (36 hours/week). This is a full-time role with premium pay.

    Basic Qualifications

    Required:
    • Graduate of an approved Nursing Program
    • Active Tennessee RN license
    • One year of relevant experience
    • Acute Care Experience
    • BLS Certification
    • ACLS Certification (optional)

    Physical Requirements/Strengths needed & Physical Demands:

    • Heavy Work category requiring exertion of 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 to 20 lbs. of force continually to move objects.

    • Occasional: Lifting over 35 lbs: Raising and lowering objects from one level to another, includes upward pulling over 35 lbs, with help of coworkers or assistive device
