Summary:

WMCHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the division of Gynecologic Oncology at Westchester Medical Center to help serve our patients at various outreach locations we have established within our network. This is a unique specialty where we offer complex gynecologic surgeries and manage adjuvant therapies (chemotherapy, targeted therapy and radiation).Our division includes radical pelvic surgery both via minimally invasive routes and traditional open surgery.We have an infusion center and radiation oncology services including brachytherapy.There is an active clinical trial program and we expect that the entire clinical team participate in recruitment and management of patients on therapeutic trials.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include seeing patients in the outpatient setting at our various outreach locations, both with attending physicians and independently. The PA will participate in management of patients receiving chemotherapy, following up on patient labs and diagnostic imaging, and post-operative care. The PA will have the opportunity to become proficient in gynecologic outpatient procedures such as colposcopy and biopsies of the cervix, endometrium and vulva.Additionally, the PA will be involved in survivorship care and palliative care as it applies to the gynecologic oncology patient.

Qualifications / Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a background in Women's Health or Oncology; however, it is not a necessity. They must be willing to travel to our outreach locations in the network.
