OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time outpatient Consult-Liaison Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on behalf of Ellis Hospital located in Schenectady, New York.

Ellis Hospital is a 150-bed community hospital with inpatient Adult and Adolescent Psychiatric Units. The Ellis Psychiatry program has been helping adults overcome mental illness for more than 50 years and offers specialized services for adults, adolescents, and children.

Position Details:

  • The Consult-Liaison Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide inpatient consultation coverage for patients at the Ellis Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers
  • The Consult Liaison Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric consultative services to the medical and surgical teams at Ellis Hospital including the ER
  • Consultations will focus primarily on patients with mental illness who have comorbid medical illness while in the hospital
  • NP will work with the Ellis Hospital behavioral health interdisciplinary team
  • Position hours are Mon-Fri, 8-hr shifts
  • Call Rotation: Weekends - Voluntary Basis; Nights: Rotating Call

Interested candidates should have the following:

  • Candidates are required to be board certified
  • Licensed to practice in New York State
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required
  • Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing care that is team oriented
