Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in partnership with RWJ Barnabas Health seeks Palliative Care Physicians for full-time employment. Outpatient and inpatient-focused palliative medicine positions are available, providing consultations at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, as well as other non-oncology outpatient sites at the New Brunswick campus as needed. The physician will also be expected to participate in the education of staff, trainees, and the community. Academic appointment will be in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Unique opportunities exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, Phase 1 clinical trials, and participation in a broad range of teaching initiatives with medical students, housestaff, and fellows. MD (or equivalent) and BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine required, fellowship training preferred. Academic rank consummates with experience.

Faculty are expected to support the educational goals and activities of the School, and as such will be expected to be involved in teaching activities for medical students and residents as well as targeted lectures in their area of expertise.
