Baptist Health Medical Group, a growing network of more than 200 of the region’s most highly regarded physicians employed by Baptist Health South Florida, is seeking a Palliative care physician.  Our cohesive culture expands throughout our 11 hospitals, more than 80 physician practices, 60+ outpatient and urgent care facilities, and internationally renowned centers of excellence spanning across Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. This is a unique and exciting career opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team, including a wide network of primary care physicians and medical and surgical specialists.

Reporting to the Palliative Care Program Director, you will be responsible for the provision of Palliative Care Consultations within the hospitals as well as supervisory responsibilities for the APRNs dedicated to the Palliative Care Team.

Duties will include consulting with the attending physician and the interdisciplinary team to establish a written plan of care at intervals specified in the plan; facilitating access to appropriate supportive care services; weekly participation in interdisciplinary team meetings to review active cases; full and appropriate documentation of patient care services to support professional billing for these services; and participation in on-call coverage with the interdisciplinary team.

The preferred candidate will be an experienced physician board certified or eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine. Candidate must be a US licensed physician and/or have current Florida state medical license and be in good standing with the medical board.

Candidates must be able to provide references focusing on quality, excellent patient centered-care, bedside manner and professional demeanor, and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment.

We offer competitive compensation that includes productivity incentives, a comprehensive benefits package including malpractice, CME, Medical/Dental/Vision, Life/AD&D insurance, relocation, short-term and long-term disability, and more.

Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.

This position is not open to any third-party recruiters, consultants, and/or staffing vendors at this time.
