This individual has 24 hours responsibility and accountability for operations within the unit. Works with the Nurse Manager and staff to improve the quality of care using evidence-based practice, strengthen the financial performance of the unit, and improve patient, physician and employee satisfaction. The Clinical Director leads by example, promotes a positive image of nursing, demonstrates accountability and teamwork while motivating others. The Clinical Director has strong problem-solving skills seeking issues and problems and actively problem solves on a continuous basis. The Clinical Director holds crucial and difficult conversations when needed and discusses issues openly with others working toward solutions
