What you’ll do day-to-day: The Audiologist works with the ENT providers, performing comprehensive diagnostic testing for patients of all ages and providing testing for direct referrals to Audiology. The Audiologist collaborates alongside the Hearing Instrument Specialist to provide hearing amplification services, including hearing aid assessments, fittings, cleanings, repairs, counseling, and education. Using strong listening and communication skills in a caring and individualized manner, the Audiologist solves problems and builds strong rapport with their patients.
In addition to day-to-day hands-on patient care, the Audiologist is responsible for shared administrative work for the department, including ordering audiology supplies and hearing aids, verifying benefits using insurance benefit portals, and managing tasks, documentation, calls, and messages.
