Palliative Medicine Physician Opportunity
Seeking Palliative Medicine Physician for Huntsville Hospital to join group of 3 palliative physicians and CRNP support staff.
Clinical Duties to include inpatient consults with inpatient hospice coverage
Interdisciplinary team with NPs, Music Therapy, SWs and Chaplains
Shared call rotation for inpatient hospice facility.
This employed position offers an excellent compensation package including paid vacation, CME allowance, relocation allowance, health, dental, life/disability and paid malpractice insurance, and a 401k plan with employer contribution.
Professional Skills/Qualifications:
MD or DO from accredited medical school
Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
Ideal candidate with Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship
Alabama Medicine License
DEA License
Communicate efficiently with patients, families and team
Expertise in symptom management for patients with serious illness
Effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary framework
Demonstrate a desire to help increase Palliative Care access in the community
Participate with staff education and mentoring
Willingness to supervise residents
Comfortable supervising advanced practice providers
