Academic Geriatrician

The Department of Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative, and Hospital Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for an open-track, open rank position within our Section of Geriatrics.

Position Details:

• Develop a clinical practice that includes caring for older adults in ambulatory primary care and consultative clinics.
• Inpatient responsibilities and opportunities, as well as other geriatric clinical duties, may also be considered,
  in accordance with the successful candidate s interests.
• Leadership role in the Section s educational endeavors, including developing and maintaining innovative curricula for medical students, residents, and fellows in both didactic and clinical sessions.
• Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligibility or certification (certificate of added qualifications) in Geriatrics is also required.
• Candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience in academic geriatrics are strongly preferred.
