Nursing Professional Development Specialist - Medicine/Geriatrics
DescriptionThe Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist is a registered nurse whose practice is in nursing education and who facilitates lifelong learning for nursing staff in the UCLA Health System. The NPD Specialist for Medicine / Geriatrics develops, implements, evaluates, and revises programs of orientation, in-service training, workshops, and continuing education based on assessed needs; provides direct services and/or consultation to the design, presentation, and evaluation of educational offerings. Within each of these role functions, the NPD Specialist acts as a role model, change agent, advocate for nursing practice, and expert in use of educational methods.
