With the successful development of a palliative program in 2010, we were eager to help train the next generation of palliative care physicians. We began as an AOA accredited fellowship in 2015 and achieved ACGME accreditation in 2018.   The mission of our hospice and palliative medicine fellowship is to train future palliative care physicians to be patient advocates, delivering high quality, evidence based, compassionate care to patients with serious illnesses and their families, while educating other professionals and the community regarding the field of hospice and palliative medicine.   We pride ourselves on being a social medicine based fellowship.
