An exciting new Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program started July 2023 with three eager fellows. The Fellowship is based primarily at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. This one-year program is thrilled to accept up to three fellows per year. The Program’s goal is to instill excellence in the skillsets of communication, pain and symptom management, and end-of-life care. Fellows will learn the art and science of sharing bad news, managing complex and difficult communication, establishing goals of care, and mastering conversations around resuscitation and code status. At the end of the year, fellows will also find themselves experts in pain and symptom management, end-of-life care, and improving the quality of life of those under their care. This is a g
