Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health is currently seeking a Regional Medical Director Hospice to join our team. The Medical Director is an employed physician with responsibility for one or more regions, which are subject to change based on business needs and growth. Following is an overview of primary job responsibilities: Provides medical care and treatment for the patients served by Empath Health Care teams or consultative palliative care to Empath Health patients. Provides physician direction and guidance to the Empath Health hospice program to assure the maintenance of quality care for patients and families. Manages directly or in a matrix fashion the medical staff assigned to the services areas overseen by the regional medical director.
