The Division of Developmental Pediatrics at IU School of Medicine (IU Health/Riley Children's Health) is home to a unique interdisciplinary team with the expertise, experience and resources to care for infants and children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those who may have co-occurring behavioral or emotional concerns.  

Position Highlights 

  • Subspecialty trained physicians, general pediatricians, psychologists, and nurse practitioners work closely together and are well-supported by nursing, social work, genetic counselors and dietitians. 
  • The team fosters a positive patient-provider relationship by promoting mutual respect, providing patient education materials, connecting families to local resources and advocating for patients. 
  • The division continuously seeks improvement and innovation to meet the needs of young patients in Indiana and Midwest Region. These efforts include increasing accessibility to care by creating early evaluation autism hubs throughout the state, collaborating with subspecialists to improve feeding outcomes, and partnering with primary care physicians to optimize patient care.
  • Full-time position, outpatient clinical care with minimal inpatient service - fantastic schedule!
  • Faculty appointment with the IU School of Medicine: clinical educator of students, residents and fellows

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will be dedicated to the care & treatment of children with disabilities; ability to think on individual & population level; ability to work in teams with patient & family-centered focus
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, General pediatrics, Child Neurology, and/or Child Psychiatry. 
  • Completion of ABMS fellowship and/or residency training program
  • Indiana medical license, or ability to obtain
