The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program is seeking one fellow for a 1-year clinical fellowship position available to start 7/1/2026 due to the sudden withdrawal of one of our incoming 2026-2027 fellows for personal reasons. The program is fully accredited by the ACGME and meets requirements for board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Fellows will acquire a broad range of knowledge and experience in various settings to prepare them for practicing hospice and palliative medicine in academic, inpatient, or outpatient careers.
UTHealth is unable to support H1B visas; J1 visas are supported, however the start date would likely be delayed till 8/2026.
We invite you to browse our website for information on our sites, rotations, and other learning opportunities available for our fellows: https://med.uth.edu/internalmedicine/geriatric-fellowship-programs/hospice-and-palliative-medicine-fellowship/
Requirements include: completion of a 3 year ACGME-accredited residency program (or equivalent) prior to start of the fellowship. We will consider exceptional candidates who have not completed this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
