Marshall Brown

Ph.D

Marshall Brown
How will clients benefit with you as their coach?

I set the bar high for myself and others, and act as a catalyst for new and breakthrough thinking. Through the use of numerous 360 assessments, I help my clients create and implement individual leadership development plans.

I am skilled at taking clients on journeys of discovery - helping them identify and use their true talents and passions in life.

What do clients say about working with you?

As one client said, "Marshall Brown was my coach, supporter and cheerleader through my recent search. He made me work. He made me examine what I truly wanted for the next success. He challenged the way I presented myself in cover letters and in interviews. Working with Marshall was absolutely the right move. If you want to be authentic, confident and a leading candidate in your next search, Marshall will get you there."

What is your coaching philosophy?

Over the years, I have developed a personalized, "no nonsense" approach to getting executives and entrepreneurs to focus on performance improvement, increasing communication and becoming more effective leaders. Additionally, my work focuses on developing successful teams/organizations, both nationally and internationally. My mantra is simple: Get clear, get focused, get ahead.

What is your professional background?

I am the founder and CEO of Marshall Brown & Associates, an international coaching, training, and leadership development company, and a career and executive coach with a passion for encouraging individuals and organizations to reach exceptional levels of performance.

I hold a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and have been certified as an executive and career coach through the International Coach Federation, Career Coaches Institute and The Coaches Training Institute. I hold certifications for the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator, as a Leadership Challenge facilitator and as a personal brand strategist. I have also been selected by my peers to serve as president of both the DC Metro Chapter of the International Coach Federation and the Association of Career Professionals International.

My brand attributes include risk taking, challenging, networking "guru" and a great sense of humor. I make the most out of every professional experience and draws out lessons that apply across many situations and challenges.
